Modeling and Dynamic Control of Aircraft
The Team
Connor "Simulink isn't that bad" Novak
Onur "I made a lookup table" Talu
Connor is a sophomore at Olin College of Engineering majoring in Robotics. He enjoys robots, and presumably other things too. Connor thought this was a robotics project and got to the last week before realizing otherwise.

Connor enjoyed the project for the chance to finally understand how planes actually stay up, despite being slightly disappointed at the destruction of his previous theory of skyhooks.

He really thinks Simulink is pretty cool and could be a good future tool. He holds this view stubbornly despite more reasonable people telling him . . . no.
Onur is a sophomore at Olin College and a mechanical engineer. He really enjoys fluid dynamics and controls and is guilty of convincing Connor that this was "a reasonably scoped project".

He had an awesome time working with airplanes and controlling them, and would do it again if he got the chance.

He nearly had a heart attack before realizing that XFOIL had a sweep function for different angles of attack on an airfoil.
